ABOUT US
The mission of Amuze Art Books is to create beautiful books about lesser-known artists who are not well represented in museums around the world. Many great artists over time created their works primarily for private collectors. Their paintings have scattered around the world and are primarily seen at public auctions. As a consequence, relatively little is known about these artists and their work, and at Amuze Art Books, we love to change that.
We want our books to be available worldwide to allow all interested readers to obtain a copy. To achieve that, we are using a print-on-demand service. This means that the books are only printed after an order is placed. We have chosen to work with the highest-quality print-on-demand service and only use the highest quality materials they offer for printing. This results in beautifully-printed books. But it also comes with two disadvantages. First, the delivery of the books takes a bit longer than average. Depending on where you want the book to be shipped, it may take up to two weeks for the book to arrive. Second, the printing costs are higher compared to printing large batches of each book beforehand. The books are printed in full color, and taking printing and shipping costs into account, the average price for a book is around $40. |
To create a book, we first collect all known artworks by the respective artist. After this, we collect all available information about the artist from various media, academic sources, and other books or articles discussing the artist. In this process, we give preferences for historical sources written during (or closely after) the artist's life. We combine the information about the artist's life and his works to create a coffee-table style book that provides a comprehensive and representative overview of the artist and his work.
Finally, we love to create a relationship with our readers, and we encourage you to contact us with any questions and feedback you may have about any of our books.
